Ranchi. Through the initiative taken by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Hemant Soren, youth are getting benefited from the MoU signed between the Department of Labour Planning, Training and Skill Development and HCL. By the medium of Placement Linked Skill Training Program the youth are getting covered under the scheme, through which they have been receiving training and are getting employment.This skill training program of the Government is proving to be effective to a great extent in reducing the situation of uncertainty arising amongst the youth after their intermediate classes. In the first phase, 220 youths of the state by joining the Employment Promotion Program of the Government are witnessing their dreams become a reality by getting an opportunity to work for the IT sector. At the same time, the selection process of youth for the coming academic year 2022 is going on.
Opportunity available after class 12th
For selection under the skill training program of the Government, it is mandatory for the aspirant to pass class 12th and obtain a minimum of 60 % marks in Mathematics if he/she comes from Science Faculty and 60% marks in Business Math if they come from Commerce Faculty. After being selected by HCL, there is a provision of imparting virtual training after which the candidate can join a six months internship in HCL's center. During the internship itself, students shall be paid Rs 10,000 per month by HCL. After the completion of internship, HCL has agreed with the government to employ the students. Along with planning, with the help of HCL, students can pursue higher education from institutes like BITS Pilani, Amity and other universities. Students who have studied Mathematics, Business Mathematics & Applied Mathematics in the Plus Two level in 2022 are provisionally eligible. This year, there is a plan to select 1200 students from the state. Interested students can do their pre-registration on the following link - registrations.hcltechbee. After registration, the students will have to take an online test on Math, English, Reasoning and Essay writing post which the successful candidates will have to appear in the interview, after which the final selections shall be made. Post Selection pathway
Classroom training of successful candidates shall be conducted online for the first six months. Candidates will be made familiar with communication and technical skills. During this training, the company provides monthly Rs 650 as data cost to the candidate. After completing the first 6 months of training, the candidates have to go to any office of HCL to do an internship for the next 6 months. There candidates shall work on live projects. During this, HCL provides a monthly scholarship of rupees 10 thousand to the students so that children of every income group can take advantage of this program. After successful completion of one year training, candidates become employees of HCL and are on the payroll of the company. The first year’s package ranges between Rs 1.70 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh. After this, their salary increases every year based on the performance of the employee.
