Krishnakulam School’s Annual Fest “Srijan” Concludes with Colourful Cultural Extravaganza

Krishnakulam Senior Secondary School staged its grand annual celebration, Srijan, on campus, delighting parents and well-wishers with a vibrant programme of music, dance and theatrical presentations. The function opened with a Saraswati puja, ceremonial lamp-lighting and floral tributes to guests, who were welcomed by the school management.


The event saw the presence of SP (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat, CBSE City Coordinator Shailendra Grewal, Director Krishna Kumar Sharma and Principal Shubham Godhar among other dignitaries. The school auditorium and grounds were tastefully decorated, and guests were felicitated with bouquets and mementos.


A host of colourful performances by students followed the inaugural rituals. The programme featured Ganesh Vandana, a welcome song, traditional Rajasthani Kalbeliya, Lavani, Punjabi-fusion Lohri numbers, a Kathak fusion, a Chandraayan mission-themed dance, a Ramayana musical drama, Brij Raslila, instrumental pieces, a Mahabharata rap, salsa and retro Bollywood medleys. Martial arts demonstrations, a theatrical enactment of the Ravan episode and other skits and dances showcased the school’s focus on diverse co-curricular training and left the audience enthralled.


In his address, SP Rural Suresh Chandra Rawat underscored the importance of discipline, honesty and social responsibility in shaping young citizens. He urged students to adopt time-keeping, teamwork and a spirit of service, and warned parents and teachers to remain vigilant about cybercrime and online safety.


CBSE City Coordinator Shalender Singh Grewal highlighted the value of project based and experiential learning, advising schools to utilise CBSE resources effectively to build students problem-solving abilities and prepare them for state and national level competitions. He emphasised setting high goals and practising effective time management.


Secretary Deepak Mukutmani, presenting the annual report, detailed the school’s academic and co-curricular achievements over the year, citing strong board examination results, successes in Olympiads and CBSE contests, and awards at state and national levels. He attributed the progress to the management’s strategy, teachers’ dedication and parental support, and outlined forthcoming infrastructure and curriculum enhancement plans.


Principal Shubham Godhar reiterated the school’s commitment to holistic education, saying that values instilled in early childhood form the foundation of personality development. 

Chairperson Krishna Kumar Sharma thanked parents, staff and students for their continued trust and appealed to pupils to strive for excellence with perseverance and leadership.


Recognising individual excellence, the school presented the Student of the Year awards to Harshita Chaudhary Class V and Kanchit Class XI for their exemplary dedication and performance. Several presentations notably the Chandraayan theme, Ramayana musical drama, Brij Raslila, Kalbeliya and the Taekwondo display were singled out for special appreciation.


Among the guests were Raju Agarwal, chairman Raya, Arvind Sharma, former president DCF, Dr Manveer Singh, principal of Subhash Inter College; Vinod Upadhyay, vice-president of the UP Teachers Association, and other prominent citizens. The event’s smooth execution was credited to the combined efforts of the teaching staff and supporting personnel, with choreography by Deepak Thakur, music direction by Ashish and Gaurav, and stage training by Nakul Kumar and Mayurika Agarwal. Stage decoration and event management were handled by a team of teachers and volunteers.


The programme concluded with the singing of the national anthem. The school administration expressed gratitude to guests, parents, teachers and students and reaffirmed its continued dedication to the spread of quality education and values.
